Product Refund Policies

We have prepared this Refund Policy to explain how, why, and when our refund works for each of our products and services.

Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where services are not delivered as promised, advertised and per our Global Exchange Program contracts unless prior contractual agreements have been made otherwise.

Global Exchange Program For Individuals

Our refund policies are within our Exchange Program Contract. Please see section 4, 6 and 8 for terms of when refunds are applicable.

Financial Agreement (4)
1. If the Exchange Participant selected to participate in the Global Volunteer program, they are required to
pay a $950 fee to the Sending Local Committee to cover AIESEC’s administration costs to deliver this
exchange. This fee must be paid before the Exchange Participant can be officially matched to a
placement and within seven (7) days of signing the Exchange Participant Contract.
2. If the Exchange Participant is selected to participate in the Global Talent Program, they are required to pay
a $1,200 fee to the Sending Local Committee to cover AIESEC’s administration costs to deliver this
exchange. This fee must be paid before the Exchange Participant can be officially matched to a
placement and within seven (7) days of signing the Exchange Participant Contract.
3. If the Exchange Participant is selected to participate in the Global Entrepreneur Program, they are
required to pay a $950 fee to the Sending Local Committee to cover AIESEC’s administration costs to
deliver this exchange. This fee must be paid before the Exchange Participant can be officially matched
to a placement and within seven (7) days of signing the Exchange Participant Contract.
4. Failure to comply with these terms will result in an involuntary and immediate withdrawal from the
program, unless an alternative arrangement has been made with the SendingAIESEC Local Committee.
5. The Exchange Participant understands that the fees paid are non-refundable and to cover
administrative costs as incurred by SendingAIESEC Local Committee andAIESECAustralia Ltd.
5.1. Up to 50% of the fees may be refunded based on the discretion of AIESEC Australia Ltd in
cases where the Exchange Participant or their immediate family experiences serious
health related problems that hinder the Exchange Participant from going abroad on either
of AIESEC’s exchange programs.
5.2. Proof of the above must be provided when applying for a refund.
6. The fee is broken up into two parts: (1) 65% goes to the Sending Local Committee and (2) 35% goes
toAIESEC Australia Ltd.

No longer eligible to participate (6)

Once matched to a placement, if the Exchange Participant is no longer eligible to participate in the AIESEC exchange program under this current contract, and will not be entitled to a refund unless prior written arrangements have been made with the AIESEC Local Committee and a Director of AIESEC Australia Ltd. In certain circumstances a maximum of six (6) month extension may be granted.

Dispute Resolution (8)

3. In the event that an Exchange Participant has a grievance against AIESEC in another country or
territory, the following process will apply;
3.3. Provision of this authorisation to the Exchange Participant in writing effectively releases the
Exchange Participant from all obligations under this contract. The Exchange Participant fee
originally paid to the Sending Local Committee, and/or AIESEC Australia Ltd, may be refunded
at the discretion of AIESEC Australia Ltd.

Global Exchange Program For Organisations

Our refund policies are within our Exchange Program Contract. Please see section 2.1 and 4.5 for terms of when refunds are applicable.

2.1. ORGANISATION’S UNDERSTANDING AND AGREEMENT
2.1.1. The Organisation confirms that AIESEC is providing assistance in allowing the Organisation to source an Exchange
Participant with skills level as determined and assessed by the Organisation
2.1.2. Whilst AIESEC will use its endeavours to assist the Organisation, AIESEC provides no warranty as to the
performance of the Exchange Participant
2.1.3. AIESEC will not be responsible for any loss, damage or claim resulting from the actions, inactions or consequential to
the engagement of the Exchange Participant by the Organisation
2.1.4. In addition, AIESEC will not be held liable in case of refusal from the authorities to provide a visa or any other legal
document or authorisation needed by the Exchange Participant to participate in the program
2.1.4.1. In only the case of refusal from the authorities to provide a visa to the Exchange Participant will one of the
following options will be exercised
2.1.4.1.1. If the Organisation does not seek another Exchange Participant, AIESEC will refund the Program
Administration Fee
2.1.4.1.2. If the Organisation does seek another Exchange Participant, section 4.1 will apply. If another Exchange
Participant is not found, AIESEC will refund the Program Administration Fee

4.5. REPLACEMENT EXCHANGE PARTICIPANTS
4.5.1. The Organisation may seek a replacement Exchange Participant only if one of the following is shown in written form:
4.5.1.1. The Exchange Participant withdrew from the Program prior to the commencement date
4.5.1.2. The Exchange Participant voluntarily discontinued employment, prior to the agreed end date of the Program,
so long as such was not as a direct or indirect result of the actions of the Organisation, workplace or factors
outside the control of AIESEC
4.5.1.3. The Exchange Participant materially breached their employment contract
4.5.2. Subject to the receipt by AIESEC of the applicable Program Administration Fee, AIESEC will provide a replacement
Exchange Participant candidate to the Organisation within three months of being advised that a replacement is
required for reasons as detailed above
4.5.3. Where AIESEC is unable to provide a suitable Exchange Participant as a replacement, 70% of the total Program
Administration Fee will be refunded
