"I will never forget all their smiles and the kindness and humility they showed me."
"I remember them being so quiet and shy when I first arrived, but as we got to know each other more, they made me feel like Baantawanmai was my home too. They made me feel like I was part of their family. I could see their English skills progress as time went on. I really appreciated how they would try to speak English even though they were extremely shy. As much as they were learning from me, I was also learning from them too. They are all so independent and caring of one another. The experience really gave me perspective; it helped me understand what is actually important in life and forget about our first world problems. I miss the children so much but I will always remember all the English movies we would watch together, our English lessons, helping them with their homework, all the meals we ate together and all the tickle fights we had. On the last day, we were all in tears."
